Francis Gimara is the head of the Legal and Consultancy Department at Arcadia Advocates working in Uganda and Tanzania.

His practice covers trade and integration, investment law, corporate governance, constitutional law, insolvency law, and arbitration and dispute resolution among others. Francis advises both foreign and domestic investors on investment law in the manufacturing, agriculture and services sectors.

A former president of the Uganda Law Society, he is a renown legal practitioner before the EACJ in Arusha where he represents clients on investment and trade related disputes. He is a member of the ULS, EALS, the Pan-African Lawyers Union, and IBA.
