Wairimu Karanja is part of the EAIAC Organising Committee, and Director at Wairimu & Co. Advocates and EnVantage Law & Policy Consulting. She provides legal, investment and policy advice in corporate, energy and natural resources (ENR) and trade matters across Eastern Africa.
Wairimu has over 10 years’ legal experience and holds a Master’s Degree in Energy Law and Policy (LLM, Distinction). She has previously worked in leading Kenyan and international firms.
Wairimu is a member of: The Law Society of Kenya; The Energy Institute; The Kenya Renewable Energy Association (KEREA); Women in African Power (a Power Africa Initiative); Association of Women in the Extractive Industries in Kenya (AWEIK); and Legal and Business Women for Africa (LABFA). She is passionate about sustainable development and training of young professionals.
