
Kamal is the Head of Stephenson Harwood’s Africa and India groups. He specialises in complex, cross-border international arbitration, litigation and fraud and asset tracing in Africa and Indian, and has gained extensive experience in these jurisdictions. He acts for governments, government entities, banks, private corporations and high net worth individuals.
Kamal is highly ranked in the legal directories including The Legal 500, Chambers UK and India Business Law Journal’s top 100 international lawyers for India-related matters. He has been listed in The Legal 500’s Private Practice Powerlists 2019 for Africa and Arbitration, Who’s Who Legal: Arbitration – Future Leaders 2017 and 2018, IFLR1000 for Sub-Saharan Africa in 2016 as well as The Lawyer’s Hot 100 list of leading lawyers in the UK for 2009 and 2014.
He is on the Executive Committee of the Eastern Africa Association and is currently a Court Member and the President of the African Users’ Council of the LCIA.
