
Lawrence Muiruri Ngugi is the serving Registrar/Chief Executive, Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration. He is an arbitrator and accredited mediator, previously served as Chief State Counsel (Head of Commercial Litigation & Arbitration), Member of Kenya’s representatives to the UNCITRAL Working Group II Arbitration & Conciliation and Working Group III Online Dispute Resolution. He has handled high profile, complex litigation, arbitration and international investor-state disputes under the ICC, UNCITRAL and ICSID rules.
He is a holder of a BA (Hons) Econ, LLB degrees and MA (International Studies), and a Research fellow of the East China University of Politics and Law. He is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Certified Public Secretary.
