Dr Al-Thani is the Board Member for International Cooperation of the Qatar International Centre for Conciliation and Arbitration (QICCA).
He is the founder and Managing partner of “Thani Bin Ali Al Thani Law Firm” and the legal advisor to several leading Qatari and International companies. Last year, “Thani Bin Ali Al Thani Law Firm” obtained the prestigious award of the pro-bono law firm from Lexisnexis.
Dr. Al-Thani is the Qatari member of the ICC Court of Arbitration. He is a seasoned international arbitrator and is member of the Board of Directors in at the GCC Commercial Arbitration Centre (GCCCAC). He has authored several legal articles on arbitration in Qatar and abroad. He is a legal advisor to several leading Qatari and International companies.
Dr. Al-Thani holds an LLB degree from Ain-Shams University, an LLM from Cairo University and PhD in Commercial Law from Cairo University.
He participated recently at the discussions to amend the ICSID rules and regulations at the World Bank (USA).
