Steven Finizio is a partner in Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP’s international arbitration and dispute resolution group, based in London. Mr. Finizio has acted as arbitrator or counsel in disputes under most leading international arbitration rules, involving the laws of jurisdictions in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the US, as well as bilateral and regional treaties. He has assisted a government to draft new arbitration legislation and has been counsel in a number of human rights cases in regional courts.
Mr. Finizio is a Member of the LCIA Court. He teaches international arbitration as an adjunct professor, and is on the faculty of arbitration academies in Asia, Europe and Africa. His publications include “A Practical Guide to International Commercial Arbitration: Assessment, Planning and Strategy” (with Duncan Speller) and “International Commercial Arbitration” in The Law of Transnational Business Transactions. Mr. Finiziois recognized as a leading international arbitration lawyer by various publications, including Chambers, Legal 500, and Global Arbitration Review’s Who’s Who in International Arbitration.
